Motorola Launches New HZO Protected Surround Earbuds
The water and sweat protection technology from HZO is designed into the new Moto Surround wireless earbuds, giving them an IP57 rating
DRAPER, Utah – July 28, 2015 – HZO, Inc, the total solutions leader in liquid protection technology for any size electronic component, sensor, assembly or device announced today that it has partnered with Motorola to integrate both water and sweat safeguarding into the new Moto Surround wireless earbuds.
With the inclusion of HZO Protection, consumers can use their Moto Surround in more places without worry of damage. The Surround carries a rating of IP57, which means it is protected from dust and can withstand immersion in fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
HZO collaborates with product designers and manufacturers of electronics to integrate its protective technology to the inside of devices prior to final assembly. The partnership with Motorola allowed HZO to make design recommendations, ensuring its technology aligned seamlessly to protect the Moto Surround from exposure to corrosive liquids and environments.
“The Moto team was extremely rewarding to work with.” said Sergio Leveratto, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at HZO. “This is a true partnership where Motorola solicited our ideas and expertise on how to keep the Surround device safe when exposed to both water and sweat.”
The sleekly designed Moto Surround with HZO Protection will be available in retail locations throughout the U.S. starting in late August. Product packaging will carry the HZO water and sweat security designation.
