HZO’S PRO750 GEN4 Coating Chamber provides real-time connectivity, continuous monitoring, and unparalleled flexibility for weatherproofing sensitive circuitry

RALEIGH, NC – October 09, 2019 – HZO, a global leader in delivering world-class protective nanocoatings that safeguard electronics from the most demanding corrosive and liquid environments, today announced the release of their latest generation high throughput coating chamber, the HZO PRO750 GEN4. HZO’s latest innovation features the largest Parylene coating chamber in the industry, ushering in new possibilities for protecting next-generation microelectronics. Building on the capabilities of its conformal coating equipment predecessors, the PRO750 GEN4 is designed to provide real-time connectivity, continuous monitoring, and unparalleled flexibility to improve throughput, shorten cycle times, and deliver a higher quality outcome.

This next-generation HZO PRO series combines an optimized chamber size and shape to ensure uniform Parylene deposition as well as a proprietary state of the art controller that can remotely monitor and control critical factors, including temperature, pressure and other essential operating parameters – all in real-time.

“The HZO PRO750 allows customers real-time monitoring of the coating process, remote management and greater flexibility,” said Zsolt Pulai, Executive VP of Technology & Engineering for HZO. “These new features result in higher quality, thinner coat capability, at a lower cost. We are bringing proven Parylene capabilities to the OEM masses – regardless of the industry – with a lower price point and higher yields.”

The HZO PRO750 machine features:

  • The largest coating chamber in the industry at 1m3, designed to deliver unparalleled flexibility for repeatable, scalable, and efficient mass production throughput
  • State of the art internet-enabled continuous monitoring and controls measure critical data points in real-time to guarantee quality and consistency
  • Patented processes to manage advanced chemistries delivering a near flawless level of water, liquid and dust protection

The level of precision and control the PRO750’s patented control system affords and extends the use of Parylene to more consumer electronic, medical device, IoT, and automotive applications, by meeting tighter tolerance, thinner film depositions, and higher quality standards. The combination of material management, chamber capacity, digital control, and patented processes allows for greater throughput, efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Every HZO PRO750 employs a proven application method for both small batch and high-throughput environments. Semiconductors, printed circuit board assemblies, subassemblies, and devices are placed inside the equipment’s chamber where a protective coating is applied as a vapor, forming the protective conformal coating, measuring thinner than a human hair.

HZO currently holds dozens of patents on the HZO PRO750 series for the hardware that enables our ability to coat millions of parts per day consistently, reliably and competitively. All of HZO’s coating equipment is designed, developed, and manufactured in house to the most rigorous of standards, before being deployed to the production floor.
