HZO helped Dell protect peripheral circuit boards to exceed the protection offered by mechanical seals and gaskets
Dell, a leader in personal computing, sought to break into the ruggedized tablet market for workers that demand protection from the environmental hazards of their jobs. With their new product, the Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet, Dell wanted the tablet to not just match, but exceed the offerings and protection of other competitors on the market.
Dell had much of the internals of their tablet protected behind a “water wall” of seals and gaskets, but had important peripherals boards outside the wall that needed equal protection. HZO was able to integrate with Dell’s engineers to develop a manufacturing process to protect the boards on time and on budget, giving the whole tablet an overall rating of IP65 against water and dust.
